Surrounded by impressive mountain scenery, Nerja lies on the eastern most tip of the Costa del Sol. Located 50 kilometres from Malaga it is around 45 minutes drive on the E15 motorway.
Nerja is a charming resort which has managed to retain its charm whilst developing from a small fishing village. Many of the Andalucian traditions are upheld such as the Whitewashed houses and balconies overflowing with begonias.
Nerja is most famous the Balcon de Europa, in the heart of the old town, where a tree lined promadade looks out to the Mediterranean sea beyond.
There are 9 sandy beaches covering over 16kms ranging from small coves, to the long strip of Burriana with water sports and Chirungitos a plenty.
Flanked by mountains, Nerja enjoys an excellent climate, with around 8 hours sunshine per day. In the summer temperatures reach 30ºC and in the winter around 20ºC.
There are plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from, from typically Andalucian to a great variety of international cuisine.
Hours of shopping can be enjoyed in Nerja, ranging from gift shops selling local crafts, to clothing and furniture stores and there is a local market every Tuesday.
For the active holiday maker there is an abundance of sports available on land and water, including golf at the nearby Baviera course, jet skiing, canoeing, mountain biking, hiking and skiing at the Sierra Nevada mountains in the winter is only 1 hour away.

Just 3km from Nerja you will find Spains 3rd most visited attraction - The Cueva De Nerja. With archeological remains dating back some 20,000 years. One of the enormous natural caverns has been transformed into a concert hall where many performances are staged.
For couples -
Nerja has something to offer couples of all ages. For the younger holiday makers there is plenty of nightlife at the Tutti Frutti plaza, and for everyone there is an abundance of restaurants offering all types of cuisine imaginable. Many of the beaches offer sporting activities, however, quieter, sheltered coves can also be found.
For families -
Nerja is a relaxed and friendly resort, which caters well for families despite it not being a purpose built resort. There are numerous sporting activities on offer from water sports to horse riding and mountain biking. Restaurants all cater for families and there are a growing number of establishments offering specific areas and activities for children.
